The European International Model United Nations
The Hague, The Netherlands, 30 June – 6 July 2005

TEIMUN stands for The European International Model United Nations. TEIMUN is an annual United Nations simulation conference for university students from all over the world. This year’s conference will be held June the 30th until July 6th in The Hague, The Netherlands. TEIMUN offers about 200 students the opportunity to simulate the workings of the organs of the United Nations, the European Council of the European Union, the International Court of Justice and the NATO. TEIMUN encourages students to learn the skills like compromise, negotiation and consensus building. Through this role-playing event, the participants develop greater understanding of global problems and the complexity of international relations. The students will learn debating skills that are important in political organs, like the UN, NGOs and in business. Last year TEIMUN had participants from approximately 40 different countries.
