The RUNIC Reference
Library will be open to the public for reference purposes only.
It will maintain a collection of UN documents and publications in English,
French and Spanish, as well as information materials available in the
languages of the Western European region.
The library will become
operational during the second semester of 2004. Until the opening of the
new library, RUNIC will respond to all inquiries by telephone, e-mail
and postal mail.
The Library will contain the Official Records of the major organs of the
United Nations from 1946 onwards and a selection of core UN Sales Publications.
• General Assembly resolutions, reports, documents;
• Security Council resolutions, reports, documents;
• Economic and Social Council resolutions, reports, documents;
• International Court of Justice judgments, advisory opinions.
The Librarians will be available to assist users in carrying out bibliographic
and factual research, providing guidance in the use of databases, the
Web and other resources and in locating materials.
Access to UN Web sites will be available via the Library’s public

library in one of the RUNIC countries.
